Catching Rainbows
Labels: life, short story
Life takes us many places. It's a box of chocolates and a Hansel and Gretal trail of candy wrappers. I have filmed as an actor in The Happening, Invincible, The Lovely Bones, The Bounty Hunter, The Greek American, Bazookas, Limitless, TV's Its Always Sunny in Philly, Outlaw, New York, The Warrior, The Nail, Game Change, Cold Case, & commercial work includes The Philadelphia Eagles, Septa, Coors, Turbo Tax & Carnival Cruises. Freudian Slips spotlights irony in short story format.

OOOOOOOOO do I love rainbows! I am always looking fror them!now if that poy of gold were really there!
Why are you holding a tree?
we saw that rainbow as well, we first noticed it while driving in the car and it seemed to follow us the whole way home, the kids took pictures with their phones...as we drove down mckinley ave it appeared our house was also right at the foot of the rainbow...it looked like a block party out there everyone out in the middle of the street taking pictures...it was a beautiful sight...but not more beautiful then the smiles on the girls faces as they watched in awe of it...im not sure they had ever seen a rainbow of that magnatude...
mommantor,
They have those in Florida?
anonymous,
i said it was a bad picture. lol
anonymous,
i know people who saw it in magnolia but not sicklerville. it was really place specific.
This was a serendipitous occasion!
Lucky you and all of those who viewed it.
It just goes to prove that one's perception can be more than other people's reality; those who did not see the rainbow were lost in space & atmospheric indifference!
Joe - The family and I recently saw a similar rainbow - having two high schoolers in the house, it was child's play (pun intended) to track the geometric dimensions of the half-circlet - while impossible to ever know where a rainbow begins, we are almost certain it's ending point was the worldwide headquarters of Freudian Slips right there in S. Jersey!
All the best.
John
crimp,
Thank your lucky stars you saw it. lol
et,
keeping eyes open gets you everywhere in life.
Has it never bothered you that it's called a rainbow, yet it's not made of rain at all? Just sayin.
Joe,
Saw this rainbow as well while driving home, once there Mike and I just stood outside and watched the beautiful event sent from heaven. The news station showed the complete circle from the air, unbelievable.
weary,
thanks for the science lesson. It does not bother me.
Missy,
Glad you caught the rainbow. it was only the third one i have seen in my lifetime.
